The most noteworthy inclusion—or lack of inclusion, as it were—is that the Armant setting contains neither gnomes nor orcs (and, by extension, no half-orcs). It is not simply that these creatures are unavailable as player races; they are not present in the setting at all, either as rare oddities or as a matter of history.
Other races (such as kobolds, naiad, and strix) are known to exist, but they do so on the fringes of the world, apart from the "civilizing" influence of the Armant Empire. As a result, they are not available as PC racial options. Meanwhile, aasimar and tiefling are not completely unknown, but, with the Planes being fractured and difficult to access for the last 1,400 years, they are vanishingly rare and tend to be adopted into high-ranking houses when they do appear; one being granted the personal liberty to go adventuring is unlikely in the extreme.
